The Racism of SUTR
A commentary site documenting why, in the view of this campaign, the organisation Stand Up To Racism has a problem with antisemitism that it refuses to confront.
What this site is. A collection of public-record material — journalism, organisational statements, and the group's own publications — assembled to support a single argument: that an organisation calling itself Stand Up To Racism cannot exclude pro-Israel groups, platform speakers who frame Israel as a driver of the international far right, and remain credible as anti-racists.
The argument, in short
Stand Up To Racism (SUTR) is a UK anti-racism front group, closely associated with the Socialist Workers Party. In recent years it has:
- excluded pro-Israel and Friends of Israel groups from its coalitions and demonstrations;
- published material framing the Israeli government as a structural ally of the international far right;
- been the subject of repeated journalism asking whether it is willing to address antisemitism within its own movement.
